Fernwood Academy is accredited by AdvancED, which is a "non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of PreK-12 schools and school systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential." This is important to note when looking at the different options out there, as having an accredited program ensures that your daughter's credits will transfer to any future schools she attends, as well as colleges and universities.
Many times, parents and students alike are already looking ahead to the next step. Where will attending Fernwood Academy allow me to go next? Obviously, much of that depends on personal goals and effort, and also when the transition point from Fernwood Academy takes place. For students that transition from Fernwood prior to completion of a high school diploma, many times that means looking at a private school closer to home, or perhaps a traditional boarding school. For students that graduate from Fernwood, college or university is usually the next step, while other students prefer to do a gap year program between high school and college. For those attending college immediately, we can help assist with the application process, and also share a list of schools that our graduates have been successful at!
